Promo Videos for Tonight’s ‘Accidents Will Happen’ at the Adobe Cafe

Tonight is the first Accidents Will Happen of 2013, hosted by Bradley Beck, Jimmy Viola and Jonathan Lalu.  Comedians slated to perform are Ryan Shaner (Center City Comedy), Fastball Pitcher Bob Gutierrez (Chicago Cubs), Ryan Hill, Ryan Schutt, R. Eric Thomas (The World Exists Podcast), Phyllis Voren and Joe Bell (Tight Six).

The show starts at 9 pm at Adobe Cafe (1919 E. Passyunk Avenue), and will be followed by an open mic at 11 pm.  Admission is $FREE.99.

To get you super psyched, hosts Jimmy Viola and Jonathan Lalu have made some videos:

Top 5 of 2012: Joe Bell’s Top Five Members of Open Mic Tight Six

As the year winds down, WitOut collects lists from comedy performers and fans of their favorite moments, comedians, groups, shows, etc. from the last year in Philly comedy. Top 5 of 2012 lists will run throughout December–if you’d like to write one, pitch us your list at contact@witout.net!

Running an open mic with five other people can be rough sometimes. Egos tend to get in the way, especially when people start picking favorites. That’s why I’ve ranked the top five members of Tight Six in no particular order.

1. Aaron Nevins

2. Elise Thomson Hohl

3. Dan Vetrano

4. Mikey Garcia

5. Becca Trabin

RUNNER UP: Robert X

I’ll be honest. I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t make the cut, but fair is fair. Time to quit comedy forever.

Joe Bell is a stand-up comedian and co-runs Tight Six, a weekly open mic on Sundays at Fergies Pub. He’s a real swell fella with a brilliant smile and a lot of class. Follow him on Twitter @Joebeii and give him a dollar if you see him in person.

“Santa Comes for Christmas” by Jimmy Viola and Jon Lalu

Merry Christmas, y’all!

Here’s some holiday cheer directed by Jimmy Viola and co-directed by Jon Lalu, starring JoJo Tartaglia, Frank Tartaglia and Joe Bell.

A little advice: Maybe watch this one later if you’re still with family.

Mr. Viola and Mr. Lalu will be hosting the next ‘Accidents Will Happen’ showcase on January 2nd at Adobe Cafe (1919 E. Passyunk Avenue).

Top 5 of 2012: Alejandro Morales’ Top Five Common-Use Words and Phrases That Have Been Selfishly Bogarted by Philly Stand-Ups

1. “Hello!” – Alex Grubard

2.
“Hey, guys.” – Joe Bell

3.
“I don’t have any money.” – Alex Grubard (Quit hogging the English, Grubard.)

4.
“Hey, everybody!” – Aaron Hertzog

5.
“Diarrhea.” – Chris O’Connor

Alejandro Morales is a stand-up comedian, aspiring filmmaker, and male impersonator. Starting January 30th, he’ll be co-hosting a brand new comedy showcase with fellow comedian TJ Hurley called ‘East Coast Power Nap’ at the Balcony of the Trocadero. Tweet him on the TLC tip at @alleyhandrow.
