Submissions for the 2013 F. Harold Comedy Festival open today. This year’s festival will feature a mix of improv, sketch, stand-up, and storytelling, and will take place from June 11-16 in Studio 5 at the Walnut St. Theater.
This Tuesday Polygon Comedy returns to L’etage with a show featuring stand-up from Brad Lofton, Mike Logan, and Chris Hayes; improv from Kelly & Joe; and musical improv from Interrobang?! Doors open at 7:30pm and the show begins at 8:00.
Musical comedian Stephen Lynch will bring his brand of guitar-song humor to the TLA this Wednesday.
The Sideshow Presents: Freaky Friday this week with a show featuring comedians stepping out of their comfort zones to perform a style of comedy for the first time. The show will feature sketch and improv performers making their stand-up debut, and stand-up and sketch comedians performing improv for the very first time. The entire show is also a fundraiser for the National MS Society. More information and the entire line-up can be found on the Facebook event page.
This Friday, Philadelphia’s own David Brenner will perform at the Sellersville Theater (24 W. Temple Ave. Sellersville, PA). The show begins at 8:00pm and tickets can be purchased online.
Also this Friday stand-up showcase Nervous Breakdown will come to PhilaMOCA with a night featuring comedy from Tommy Pope, Ryan Shaner, Chris Wood, Brandon Gorin, Ryan Crawford, David Piccolomini, and Steve Miller-Miller. The show begins at 8:00pm and tickets cost $10.
Something Witty at the Dive returns this Friday with a stand-up showcase featuring: TJ Hurley, Caitlin Feeney, Joe Murdoch, Dave Terruso, and some out-of-town comedians from Baltimore and New York.
